The dreaded and much anticipated New Years Eve was pretty perfect and quirky in my Queendom.

But I am thrilled to announce that no one turned into rags or pumpkins at the stroke of midnight in my Queendom.

I choose to be introspective.

Sitting here I think of the year gone by and the lessons it taught me.

It taught me to be More Patient
More Understanding
More Loving
More Forgiving
More Careful

I made some harsh decisions which I will need to live by for the rest of my life.
But those decisions also brought me so much closer to the people I love in my life.

2009 taught me to let go of my past - a cumulative effect of 2008

2009 brought me so much closer to the people that I love in my life.

2009 was the year of change for me.

Yesterday a stranger made my day.

My brother organised a surprise for me from over the seven seas...

I was gifted the original "Art of Avatar - the movie" coffee table book.

And along with that came a goody bag filled with Avatar merchandise.

You should have seen my eyes glee and glow with happiness.

I felt like such a child and princess.

A Queen is but a princess after all.

I have been tagged by Sir Ramit  (Not yet knighted in my court) to disclose my seven deadly sins.

Well he didn't say it in those words, but largely to disclose seven things about me that you may not know.

In my endeavour to keep the People happy, here it goes...

This year, the Universe has just decided to spew out the worst.
My driver decided to bang into the car in front of us this morning which made me fly through the car.
Just as I got myself back on the seat
BAM
A scooter came and hit me from the back.

Oh well, I guess it could have been worse!

I just met some men that managed to ruin my mood and holiday spirit.
I also got told "I have faith in You (name)" by the Chairman of the company.

I'm filled with mixed emotions but am more upset than happy.

I spent most of the weekend doing two things I love...
~ Celebrating the Queen Mothers Birthday
~ Spending time with an old school friend that now lives in Miami

Today is the Queen Mother's 65th birthday.

I decided to bring Light to her life - so as a surprise I changed all the lighting in her room to beautiful fixtures that I know will bring her joy everyday.

My dad brought an angel to her life with this adorable tea cup set.

That's what I call birthday gifts!

This is week 52 of the year.
Its the week that always fascinates me.
Its the week that I sit back and think about what the year had to offer.
What memories would linger from the year gone by...

The last few days during my introspection I realised that 2009 had not much to offer...

That was until all the rubbish started to pour out in this last one week.

Its like the Universe has opened up the garbage disposal system and drained it all out.

- The Geyser went kaput this morning and dripped all over the bathroom
- The traffic was horrendous this morning
- My driver was stolen by my mother so I had to drive all the way to work
- Its been a busy day and I haven't enjoyed a single cup of coffee properly since this morning
- I have another major meeting today and I still don't know what time
