At times, I wish I was taller

Some Sundays have to go down as the best in history
Yesterday was one such Sunday
Starting with my brother, mother, father and the King and a bottle of Hendricks Gin
Followed by a double expresso at the local coffee lounge
Followed by a sea-side rendezvous over a bottle of South African Rose wine with friends
Further followed by a wedding reception dancing the night away post the ManU win
As I said, some sundays have to go down as the best in history
And I give this sunday 5 stars
That'll be all :)

I'm not in the greatest of moods today
Nothing as such happened
But, I'm just snappish
I really need to snap out of it
Maybe, the manicure pedicure will help
Time will tell

Last night the King and I attended the 50th anniversary of a neighborhood hotel that we frequent.
The owner is an old dear friend and has known the King and I since the last 30 odd years.
There was a band playing and the King decided to burst into song.

Everytime he sings it, I still get goosebumps.
That'll be all :)

Since I've quit my full time job my life has changed drastically
I wear different hats everyday depending upon the situation at hand
But lately, the hat I've been wearing a lot is one is the one I enjoy the most...

The clock ticks towards 11 am
For me its the most important and magical time of the day
It's the first good morning phone call I receive from the King
And my eyes light up and a smile appears on my face every single morning as his face appears on my phone
11 am
It will always hold a magical place in my heart

I for one Love and Live for my Tuesday Boozeday
We have been meeting the same group for over 4 years now
and we are all - One Big Happy Family!

It's monday and my desk is filled with bills to be paid and all that non-fun stuff of life.

It really is not fun at all.

It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it.

Saturday nights used to stand for Mega Parties

Coupled with a proper dress up

and a full face on...

Lately, our saturday nights stand for Seinfeld

Sitting on the couch

and laughing our asses off...

That'll be all :)

I did something this morning that surprised even myself
An eyelash was prettily sitting on my cheek
I lifted it gently
Placed it on the back of my palm
Closed my eyes
Made a wish
And blew it off into the Universe

Yes, I'm keeping my childlike innocence alive

That'll be all :)

The King loves fresh ham.
So, I decided to get him a nice, fresh assortment of spicy salami, cured chorizo and barbeque ham.
Coupled with gorgonzola cheese and a nice bottle of wine.
The twinkle in his eye as he saw the assortment was a thank you enough.
Some evenings are just worth savouring and remembering.

Over the last couple of days I've started blogging again
And I am loving it again
I am so glad I didn't delete this blog
I went back and read so many of my old posts
It reminded me of days both good and bad
But most importantly it reminded me that no matter what
I survived and blossomed through the experiences
So, I'm back to blogging

There was a woman
A woman I adored
A woman I could speak to and pour my heart out to like a mother
The relationship was wonderful
Until
The incident happened
and now I can't bear to look at her
She reminds me of that day and everything she didn't do to correct it

The last couple of months have had more than their fair share of ups and downs

At times, I wasn't sure we'd make it

But we're standing here now at the brink of four wonderful years together

And I know now despite the pain and the heartache, that I'd do it all over again
